NanoOpto Chairman Dr. Stephen Chou to Deliver Keynote Address at International Workshop on Nanoimprint Lithography at Swedens University of Lunds
Renowned Nano-Technology Researcher Invited As Headline Speaker
Somerset, New Jersey. January 15, 2002. NanoOpto Corp., which is applying proprietary nano-optics and nano-manufacturing technology to design and make components for optical networking , announced today that its Chairman, Dr. Stephen Y. Chou, will deliver the keynote presentation at the International Workshop on Nanoimprint Lithography at the University of Lunds, Sweden on January 16-17, 2002.
NanoOptos technology is based on 20 years of multi-million dollar research in nano-optics and nano-manufacturing technology conducted by Dr. Chou, who is also an Elgin Professor of Engineering at Princeton University. Dr. Chou, a world-renowned figure in nano-technology and nano-engineering (and the inventor of nano-imprint lithography), has conducted research that has resulted in the invention of various subwavelength optical elements and proprietary nano-manufacturing technology that can mass-produce nano-engineered optical components on a chip.
NanoOpto Corp. is applying proprietary nano-optics and nano-manufacturing technology to design and make components for optical networking. Based on years of research, the companys technology allows orders of magnitude more rapid prototyping, higher performance and lower overall system cost. Both on its own and with corporate partners, NanoOpto will use subwavelength techniques to produce better conventional optical components and also to create new classes of integrated components. The company’s development of patented nano-imprint lithography techniques forms the basis for high volume manufacture at its facility in Somerset, New Jersey. The company has received financial backing from leading venture capitalists.
